- THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! -

Xmas Dog In 2011 with donations received, we were able to find loving homes for 328 dogs and puppies and 190 cats and kittens!

We have nursed back to health dozens of abandoned kittens and performed surgeries on dogs that would have been euthanised at "Kill-Shelters".

A new visitors area is almost complete for prospective new "parents". New permanent roofs for all outside kennels will be finished by early this year.

Once accepted by Save A Pet, all animals have access to have food, shelter, medical care if needed and stay with us until they are adopted. There is no time limit for our animals! All of this is possible because of our donors gernerosity!

We look forward to what we can do together to help homeless pets for 2012.

"
Pets like Rusty, our "Ambassador Of Animals" was found shot twice and wandering in the desert. He ended up here at Save A Pet and was told by our vet thet he had been shot twice. His shoulder and leg were amputated at a cost close to $1800.00.

Save A Pet has started the "Rusty Fund" to help pets that have major health or injury issues. As the cost of health care has risen dramatically for humans, the cost has also risen for animals.

You can donate online, by phone or by mail. Please specify "Rusty Fund" so your donation goes to the correct fund.

- VIEW SOME OF OUR WONDERFUL DOGS! -

museumWith the economy so bad, we are beyond jammed with dogs and cats as are most shelters at this time. We're trying to get as many animals online to make it easier for everyone to find the dog or cat they're looking to adopt.

We also take dogs and puppies to the Petsmarts in Palm Desert and Palm Springs and the Petco in Palm Springs every weekend for adoptions.

All dogs are spayed or neutered, current on their shots and are micro-chipped!

- WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANIMALS AT THIS TIME -

Due to the economic situation and a dramatic drop in adoptions, we are NOT accepting any pets at this time. 98 percent of our phone calls come from people who want to surrender their pets, as many people are still losing their homes. We are receiving calls from out of state with pet owners looking for "No-Kill" shelters as their states shelters are full.

If you are in a similar situation, we suggest finding a home for your pet yourself. County and city pounds are overwhelmed with animals, and as many are kill shelters, a large number of dogs and cats are euthanized every day.
